Open air exhibition 20 years Wiesbaden Photo Days, March 30 to April 24, 2022
The 12th Wiesbaden Photo Days will take place from August 13th to 28th, 2022, celebrating their 20th anniversary. What began in 2002 as a local initiative with a street festival character has developed into an impressive photo festival that has an impact far beyond the region. To date, more than 400 national and international photographers have shown artistic and documentary photography.

On the Luisenplatz in the heart of the state capital, some of the best works of the past two decades of the Wiesbaden Photo Days can be seen on large-format tarpaulins until April 24, 2022 under the title "20 Years Wiesbaden Photo Days - Review and Outlook" - as a review and prelude to the summer alike.

But before the summer starts with the six main exhibitions on the subject of “Troublesome Times” and a varied accompanying program, festival director Jürgen Strasser and his team of Michaela Höllriegel and Marc Peschke want to set an initial exclamation mark in the urban space of Wiesbaden.

»The Photo Days are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and, alongside Hamburg, are the oldest photo festivals still in existence in Germany. An exhibition with a cross-section of previous editions was the obvious choice. The exhibition is also to be seen as recognition of the work of Reinhard Berg, who founded the Photo Days in 2002 and was mainly responsible for them until 2019«.

Works by Katerina Belkina, Reinhard Berg, Michael Bertram, Axel Beyer, Laura Böök, Frank Deubel and Lisa Rudigier, Kati Bruder, Stefan Dolfen and Sabine Bungert, Susanne Emmermann, Jens Gerber, Evelyn Hellenschmidt, Iris Kaczmarczyk, Jule will be presented in the open-air exhibition Kühn, Alexandra Polina, Gabi Rottes, Benita Suchodrev, Wolfgang Uhlig and Pemelda Weizenstroh.

The open-air exhibition can be seen around the clock and should whet your appetite for an exciting summer of photography in Wiesbaden.
