Reflexionen: 15th brau.ART, Dessau

The last theme of the brau.Art annual exhibition in the boiler and machine hall of the former Schultheiß brewery in Dessau, "Art makes visible" in 2023, was intended to bring the hidden into consciousness, and in 2024 the call to reflect on the visible follows. By "reflections" we mean the artistic transformation of a reality into the virtual, into the form of the work of art. Before artificial intelligence increasingly takes over reflection from us, we want to practice the sensual, direct experience of actual existence. Graphics, painting, collage offer a variety of color and form phenomena; sculpture, installation and representational art also create a tangible counterpart in the atmospheric light space of the art halls. The work of art has a direct effect, and one or the other will trigger intense reflections in the exhibition visitors.
