On September 30th we will open the exhibition Photo-Eye: 25 years of the photo school „Samara“

The Samara photography school has always played an important role in the development of youth photography not only in the region, but also in the country. The Palace of Pioneers is a unique environment for communication. Some studied for only a few months, others attended school for years, going from manual development in the laboratory to modern digital photography.

Over the 25 years of the existence of the Photo School, the students have become finalists of many competitions, received recognition and serious awards, and their work has taken part in international projects. The photography school is the center of youth photography in the Samara region. Over forty graduates have linked their profession with photography, becoming photojournalists, photographers, journalists and videographers. Pupils of the photography school annually become winners and prize-winners of competitions of the All-Russian and international levels: “Young Photographers of Russia”, “All-Russian and European Youth Delphic Games”, “Samara Look”, etc. In 2014, the Samara photography school was recognized as the best in Russia.

The exhibition will feature an anthology of works by graduates of different years. Many of these works were highly appreciated by the Russian and international jury. The exposition will be of interest to anyone interested in photography and art. Within the framework of the exhibition, free creative evenings and master classes are planned.
