The Ballery is excited to present an ambitious group exhibition of some of its best artists. The aim of this exhibition is to bring Ballery artists together, some of whom have been associated with The Ballery since the beginning and some who are have only recently joined our community.

The Ballery has given the theme SKIN to over 30 artist and we are looking forward to see the different ideas that each person has chosen to present.

If the word SKIN was given to you as a topic for inspiration, what would you make?

Come and join us on March 11th from 18-22hr for the opening of this exhibition. There will also be a few live performances! We look forward to see you then.

What is the Ballery community? What brings people together?

For The Ballery, it has been the impulse to form a community of artists who have stepped out of the main stream to follow their own personal path, and whose artistry comes from a keen observation of the world, as well as a strong and wide-ranged background.

Because all believe creation, whatever the medium, is deeply rooted in human experiences, the common wish is to lead the viewer to consider new perspectives and stimulate ideas.

Around British director Simon Williams, The Ballery has gathered a network of artists coming from all parts of the world. Photography, painting, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, performance art, video or literature, each medium is an equally important part of a more global work.

About the Gallery
The Ballery was founded in 2014 by Simon Williams in Schöneberg with the aim of forming a community of artists who pursue their own path beyond the mainstream. The program is broad and based on the recognition that art, regardless of medium, is involved in communicating and networking new ideas in a global context. Photography, painting, sculpture, textile art, mixed media, performance art, video, literature or music - each medium is viewed as part of a global aesthetic work. The gallery therefore sees itself as a venue for creative, intellectual and social energies. The gallery is located on Nollendorfstrasse in Berlin-Schöneberg.
