Maybe this message found you at the right moment. For the past six years, I've been building a small space station in my everyday life. It began as an art project, but somewhere along the way it became a way of thinking about isolation, control, imagination, and our need for other people. This is a personal journey through the films, books, images and ideas that slowly pulled me towards space — and eventually towards Cosmos We Do. So this is not really a film about space. It is about what happens to us when the familiar world stops working. About what we try to hold on to. And about the possibility that, somewhere beyond our own little stations, someone else is trying to find us too. Perhaps this is the message I've been trying to send all along.
