The HYBRID Biennale 2026 establishes an international and experimental platform at HELLERAU for exploring and presenting current and future intersections between art and technology. The programme brings together artistic practices working with digital technologies, immersive media, artificial intelligence, audiovisual forms and interactive installations, creating new forms of perception and creative expression. HYBRID provides a space for artistic experimentation, international exchange and collaboration at the intersection of art, research and technology.
Katerina Belkina is represented as a visual artist with works from her series "For all mankind" (2022-2023). Combining photography and digital image-making, Belkina creates staged and surreal visual worlds that explore human imagination, space exploration and the desire to reach beyond the boundaries of what is currently conceivable. The presentation includes Greeting The Rising Star, Moonset, Solaris, and
Mars.
The HYBRID Biennale 2026 also presents international artistic positions in media art, VR, digital art, audiovisual practice and immersive technologies. Artists and creative positions featured in the programme include Ugo Arsac, Ubac Studio, NAXS Studio & Meuko! Meuko!, Max Cooper, and Estelle Schorpp & Charline Dally. The programme brings together visual and digital art with music, performance, talks and interdisciplinary projects.
At the Showcase Digital Art as part of the HYBRID Biennale 2026, WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN brings together local digital artists with international perspectives.
Dresden creatives present their current work and projects in a compact mini-trade fair format. Digital art can be seen in its entire range: from generative and AI-powered projects to audiovisual work and interactive installations.
The showcase creates space for discussions, networking and new cooperations. Together with WIR GESTALTEN DRESDEN, a platform for the local creative scene, their work and the exchange with artists and institutions from the international Biennale network is created.
